Volunteer Agreement
Congratulations! You are invited to become an IAU-GA 2024 Volunteer!
Please read the following Volunteer requirements carefully and submit the form below (regardless of whether you agree to be a Volunteer or not).
IAU-GA 2024 Volunteer Basic Requirements
Volunteers will be required to:
- attend the virtual Pre-GA training session (or must watch the recorded virtual session before the IAU-GA 2024), an on-site or virtual platform refresher session, and the relevant morning briefings
- be attentive to their tasks and punctual
- behave in a responsible and respectable manner, adhering at all times to the IAU Code of Conduct
- wear the official Volunteer identification whenever on duty
- report to and adhere to the instructions of the Volunteer Leads and Volunteer Program Organisers
- embrace the IAU-GA 2024 Vision and be good representatives of the IAU-GA 2024
- immediately notify either their Volunteer Lead or the Volunteer Program Organisers in case they are unable to fulfil any of their responsibilities for whatever reason.
- notify Volunteer Leads, Volunteer Program Organisers, or National Organising Committee NOC (if necessary) of any wrong-doing, or if they have justifiable cause to feel uncomfortable with either tasks or treatment during the GA2024.
Breaking the IAU Code of Conduct or failure to perform officially-assigned Volunteer duties without reasonable justification could result in the Volunteer facing serious repercussions (including potentially losing Volunteer status, revoked registration waiver, Conference access or event privileges).
Please note: the National Organising Committee (NOC) is unable to pay for any Volunteer expenses, such as travel, VISA costs, food, and/or accommodation. The NOC is also not able to reimburse any paid conference registration fees.
